On Oct 17, Taizhou Kouan signed 8 units of 208,000T Bulk Carrier with one German Owner, this is another good news after 25 newbuilding orders been secured till last 9 months this year. This order is also the biggest deadweight vessel, highest contract price and biggest in quantity as well in our history. Till now, Taizhou Kouan has taken 33 new orders with abt. 3 Million Deadweight this year.

The main particulars of the 208,000T Bulk Carrier: Loa: 299.95m; Bm: 50m; Dm: 24.90m; Lbp: 294.4M; Design Draft: 16.10M; Scantling Draft: 18.4M; Design Speed: 14.5 Knots; Class: ABS. The vessel is expected to be start construction at Kouan’s new facility, Taizhou CATIC. These vessels are expected to be delivered between 2015 and 2017.
