In the morning of May 23, the Christening & Delivery Ceremony for the first 1000TEU Container Vessel (TK0612) among its series was held with the attendance of Shipyard president, Mr. Wang Junze. Shipyard General Manager, Mr. Guo Chaoyi and Deputy and Deputy General Manager of Ningbo Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd (NBOSCO), Mr. Ni Boyi signed on relevant delivery documents. Deputy President of Donghai Marine Insurance Co., Ltd, Mr. Luo Peigen christened, unveiled and stoked champagne for the blessing of MV “Xinmingzhou 78” with the ceremony presided by Shipyard Deputy General Manager, Mr. Yang Jiongfeng.

During the speech, General Manager, Mr. Guo Chaoyi expressed shipyard’s appreciation to the full trust and great support from NBOSCO for the delivery of the first vessel among its series concluded in November 2015. NBOSCO owns the biggest container fleet in Zhejiang Province and enjoys rather good reputation in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Zhejiang and other coastal provinces. We do hope both parties can further strengthen mutual understanding and set up solid friendship to conquer various difficulties via the cooperation of these four sister vessels. During the speech of Mr. Ni Boyi, he expressed that Taizhou Kouan Shipyard is the one of the key enterprise in Taizhou State-Level Ship Export Base and one of the top 10 private shipbuilding enterprises in China with advanced shipbuilding facilities and state-of-art equipments. Shipyard owns strong production and innovative R&D abilities with products sells well in Europe, American and South East Asia etc and enjoys quite good reputation. Today’s delivered vessel is the first 1000TEU among its series with characters of Energy Conservation, environment Friendly and high efficient etc. Her operation will further upgrade company’s fleet structure and improve market competition ability. This delivery condensed hard work of all person involved and also the signal of mutual friendship and trust. I am confident our cooperation will be closer and fruitful.

The main particulars of the Vessel: Loa: 139.23M; Bm: 25M; Dm: 11.5M; Design Draft: 8M; Class: CCS. The vessel satisfies the Marine emission requirement of Ministry of Transport concerning “Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Bohai Rim Area” with advanced technology and also in compliance with the EEDI requirement concerning Green Ship issued by CCS, Noise Standard of IMOA.468. The Vessel also equipped with remote control monitoring and fuel oil monitoring system to achieve real-time monitoring, managing and scheduling of fuel oil consumption on board the Vessel. 

The vessel will start her virgin voyage on May 25 for the loading at Taicang Port and sail to her mother port-Zhoushan Port, Ningbo.
