Five Milestones in Four Days Production Upsurge again of Kouan Shipyard

From June 25 to 28, there are five milestones, e.g. two vessels docked out, one vessel dock-in and two vessels sea triale, were achieved, which indicates another production upsurge.

In the afternoon of June 25, one 600TEU Feeder (TK1301) built for Singapore PIL and one 850 Passengers Ferry (TK0433) built for Beibuwan Tourist were docked-out simultaneously.

In order to push forward the milestone schedule of these two vessel, Production Dept worked out detailed Assembly Plan and Erection Plan to weekly production task and also take actively various methods to optimize workmanship process. Dock Workshop and Slipway Workshop stengthended the executive power strictly refers to the production task and clearly specify respective responsibility of PICs and relevant assessment measurement to catch the speed. For 600TEU feeder, the through-hull connection of the whole vessel took only 12 days, shafting alignment only took 28 days, Main Hull readiness for painting only took 31 days. The inspection of main hull, hatch coaming, rails were all completed prior to the dock out to meet the requirement of zero-wind up.

In the morning of June 27, the dock-in ceremony of the one 38.5K BC (TK1025), the first of its series for German Owner, was held. Shipyard Deputy Executive General Manager, Mr. Cai Aiguo, owner representative and Class surveyors attended the ceremony and witnessed with photos. The Main Particulars of the Vessel: Loa: 180M; Lbp: 177M; Bm: 32M; Dm: 15M; Design Draft: 9.5M; Design Speed: 14 Knots; Class: LR.

In the afternoon of June 26 and 27, one 17.5K Chemical Tanker (TK1201) built for Stenasen and one 23K Tanker (TK1205) built for Ningbo Yongwang left shipyard for sea trial respectively for the test of safety, performance, hull structure and function etc.

Thanks to the implementation of conception of “Do well every day, do everything well and do well in every product to forge Kouan Brand” of all shipyard workers and staffs, which has been internalized into our heart and externalized into our daily work, all production schedule were duly achieved.
