Another 17.5K Chemical Tanker was Delivered

On October 30, the Delivery and Acceptance Ceremony for the second 17.5K Chemical Tanker (MV Sten Tor) built for Norway Owner Stenersen was held. Shipyard Chairman, Mr. Wang Junze and Chairman of Stenersen Mr. John Richard Stenersen signed on relevant documents jointly.

The Vessel was jointly designed by shipyard and one European design company. The main particulars of the vessel: Loa: 156.5M; Bm: 23.8M; Dm: 13.8M; Scantling Draft: 9.5M; Design Speed: 15 Knots; Class: DNV-GL. With the implementation of advanced design concept and some global originated technology, such as Direct Driven Low Speed permanent magnet shaft generator, high power lithium ion battery energy storage system, one button full automatic power take home, flexible coupling uninterrupted shore power operation system, variable frequency etc, all these achieved the leading position in terms of environment protection, energy saving, operation reliability and cargo collecting capability.

One thing has to be mentioned. This August, the first vessel of its sister was successfully constructed and delivered, which as highly appraised by the owner and class, which is a good demonstration of shipyard technology and construction strength. In mid-October, two more 17.5K Chemical Tanker NB contracted was successfully concluded between these two old friends with the witness of local deputy Mayor, Mr. Yang Jie, when the delegation visit Stenersen Company.
