Four Big Events Achieved within Three Days at Taizhou CATIC

In the afternoon of April 4, the 2nd 27000T Multi-purpose Vessel (T0504) built for domestic owner left shipyard for sea trial. This time’s sea trial lasted for three days with nearly hundred comments raised from Owner and no comments from the Class, which broken our shipyard two records concerning shortest sea trial duration and minimum comments from the owner and Class. The vessel will be delivered soon.
At 10:00am of April 5, the Steel-cut Ceremony of 2nd 3820TEU Container Vessel (TC0202) built for Germany owner was held inside the Combination Workshop. The main particulars of the Vessel are: Loa: about 228m; Lbp: 217.5m; Dm: 19.85m; Designed Draft: 11.00m; Scantling Draft: 12.50m; Main Engine: B&W 7S70ME-C8.1(MK8)TII; Speed: not less than 20.3 Knots; Class: GL
At 3:00 pm of the same day, the first 82000T Bulk Carrier (TC0101) built for Germany owner was successfully docked-out and shifted to the outfitting wharf. At 5:00 pm half part of 2nd 82000T Bulk Carrier (TC0102) was smoothly positioned. Currently, TC0102 is under process according to existing schedule and is expected to be docked-out in mid April.
In the afternoon of April 6, the Dock-in Ceremony for the first 82000T Bulk Carrier (TK0103) built for another owner was carried out. The General Manger of Taizhou CATIC, Mr. Chen Jianguo, owner’s site representative, Class surveyors and other shipyard leaders attended the ceremony and witnessed with group photos.
