Keel-Laying of 40 Cars/680 Passengers & Dangerous Ferry (TK0410)
On June 10, the keel-laying of one 40 Cars/680 Passengers & Dangerous Ferry (TK0410) built for Domestic Guangdong Owner was held. Shipyard chairman, Mr. Wang Junze, owner’s representative and Class Site surveyors attended the ceremony for the witness of the positioning of the first block on slipway. This ferry is also the 7th vessel built for the same owner. There are special requirement concerning explore-proof, fire-prevention and anticorrosive on board since the vessel is capable to carry dangerous trucks. Further, the structure of the Ferry is also improved in comparison with traditional ferry.
The Main Particulars of the Ferry: Loa: 11.98m; Lbp: 103m; Bm: 20.5m; Dm: 6.1m; Design Draft: 4.2m; Class: CCS. The Vessel is expected to be delivered at the last third of October. After its implementation, it will be the first ferry to carry dangerous cargo to be operated in Qiongzhou strait.
